Je to skvělá vibe—myslím, že to lidi cítí.“ To je v kostce DRAIN: čtyřčlenná mašina, která do hardcore vnáší dávku srozumitelnosti—nemluvě o chytlavosti—v žánru, jenž si zakládá na tvrdosti a brutalitě. Drain míří nejen na fanoušky hardcoru, ale i na punk a občas se v setu ukáže i nádech thrash metalu. A někdy dorazí i popový refrén. DRAIN ARE COMING TO FAJTFEST 2027!

One of the wildest bands around right now is heading to Fajtfest 2027: America's DRAIN. No barriers in front of the stage. „Straight up—nobody fits the party better than me when we're on stage!“ smiles frontman Sammy Ciaramitaro, whose face seems to wear that smile pretty much all the time. Anyone who's seen these Santa Cruz hardcore maniacs live knows it immediately. Drain aren't just about having a „good time“—Sammy is right there directing the chaos of stage-diving and mic grabbing at the front line; it's a party and everyone's invited. (Dolphin shorts and boogie boards are optional, but highly recommended.) „The atmosphere is excited, hectic,“ says the vocalist. „Five people are singing and stage-diving in one cluster, and then more and more kids are going crazy behind them. It's a great vibe—I think people feel it.“ That's DRAIN in a nutshell: a four-piece machine bringing a dose of accessibility—not to mention catchiness—to a genre built on heaviness and brutality. Drain aren't just aiming at hardcore fans, but punk too, with the occasional hint of thrash metal showing up in their set. And sometimes there's even a pop chorus.
